My story
I grew up on a Maryland farm in a rural town with population under 800. As a kid, I walked to and from school and on weekends I rode horses with my friends. From a young age I showed a penchant for visual art but also science. I graduated from the University of Maryland with a bachelor’s in Graphic Design. Due to the lack of work for designers in Maryland, I decided moved to Manhattan because I wanted to experience all the art and culture that NYC had to offer. As it turned out, design work was a poor fit and I loathed sitting in an office all day staring at the monitor. I soon resigned and quickly became immersed in dance and acting. For the longest time, dance was my life. After performing for over 11 years, I longed to help people on a higher level and dreamed of a job that would satisfy my soul.
I moved to Arizona in 2012 and graduated from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in 2015. My primary interests include anti-aging, men’s and women’s health, endocrinology, preventive wellness, nutrition, and medical aesthetics. In my spare time I dance as much as possible. I am also a certified pilates teacher and a licensed real estate agent. My hobbies include ballet, theater, fine art, cooking, being outdoors, and travel.
My approach to medicine
It is my opinion that our country is grossly overfed and highly undernourished. As Americans, we have sick care, not health care, meaning when you get sick, you get care. Otherwise, there is little emphasis on wellness and prevention. Our health care system is certainly one that needs reform.
Because you are a complex network of interrelated systems, and not just a single symptom or sum of symptoms, you need a custom-tailored treatment plan that addresses the multi facets of your whole being. I aim to create long-lasting relationships with patients by making them active partners in their own pursuit for wellness.
In practice I integrate both conventional approaches and traditional, natural medical modalities to restore and maintain optimal wellness. I strongly emphasize diet and lifestyle as keystones to vitality and longevity. I work alongside my patients to identify and eradicate obstacles to cure. I believe the patient should have an active role in their healing. Patient education and open discussion are highly emphasized.
Together we will work to create your perfect environment for optimal health and enable you to become actively involved in your journey towards complete wellness.
